Everyone likes fresh new things. I know I love finding a new eye shadow or a new cream blush that's just the right shade. It's a treat to find a new sweater that's the perfect blend of style and comfort. And it's equally exciting to treat your vacation home to a fresh new look. In August and November 2023, we did just that.
Welcome to DPC19's fresh new look! Thanks to Anna Hislop Home we added new living room, dining room, and guest bedroom furniture. This local gem provides a wide selection of furniture and home decor with many items being availble on island. And if you've ever tried to shop for furniture on an island in the Caribbean you know finding things in stock is not easy. Our experience with Anna Hislop Home was seamless, from shopping, ordering, delivery, furniture assembly, and follow-up making sure we were happy with our purchase, you couldn't ask for better customer service.
In the master bedroom, we switched the Restoration Hardware blackout curtains for a sleek and stylish blackout shade from Total Window Fashions. Working with them is as easy as sharing an idea with Donna and trusting her suggestions. She always finds the perfect window treatment for our space and we are customers for life. Check back in March for pictures of the new custom drapes that will be added to the sliding glass doors in the DPC19 living room.
We know you are going to look at the images below and ask, "Is that wallpaper on the wall in the guest bedroom?" No, it's not wallpaper, those are individually applied decals from Urban Walls. Talk about a fun and unique find! We couldn't wait to get back to DPC19 in November, design our sea fan wall layout, and apply our Urban Walls decals. The guest bedroom has been reoutfitted with a queen and a full bed. Another great local business Tomlinson Furniture made it possible for us to select comfortable mattresses and provided fast delivery and expert set-up.
If you visited DPC19 in the past you've probably noticed along with new furniture we have new throw pillows on the sofa and loveseat and on the beds in the guest bedroom. Those beautiful pillow covers were ordered from Castaway Cove Decor and we would be remiss if we did not give a shout-out to the amazing customer service we received. We were under a time crunch and Castaway Cove Decor went out of their way to make sure we received the new pillow covers in time to ship them off to Cayman for our November arrival.
